BACKGROUND:  The Whittier Conservancy filed a lawsuit in Dec. 2024 seeking to stop the Whittier City Council’s decision to chop down the ENTIRE shady Tree Canopy on Greenleaf Av between Hadley & Wardman streets (click PDF for details).  In June 2024, the City Council voted to put up shade CLOTH structures as shown in their picture below:
